the birth of a blog

Hello cyber-type-world,

For those of you who may know me, will realise that this is a big step for a known technophobe! At last I have found a way to empty the thoughts of my complex mind onto a format where no-one can willingly be bored of me endlessly and unashamedly being opinionated.

I would like to express gratitude to the doc who unwittingly made me aware of the art of blogging: thank you! Her blog page is mighty impressive and impregnated with talent throughout!

I have decided to not make this blog political, ethical or moralistic. Alternatively, I will celebrate my friends, family and work colleagues and the blessing of breathing in the essence of life and the polluting fumes of Glasgow's fair air.

It is Saturday as I'm writing this, my wife and child are sleeping and I'm eagerly awaiting the football to start, so I can wait in nervous trepidation as my coupon unexpectingly goes down once again. How life changes!? Not so long ago I would be nursing a hang-over and the only worry I had was to try and sober up for work come Monday, or whenever.

Now I have a sometimes understanding wife, (well she is 7 months prgnant I suppose) a baby boy of 15 months and a dog who continually defies medical belief and is living into her 17th year (129 years in doggy age).

My faithful friends who also travelled the roads to oblivion with me are also responsible now. Maybe that is why I see so little of them. We live in oppposite ends of the city, and me as a consciencious objector to driving brings barriers to keeping in touch with so many people.

Back to real life and my boy is up, sitting in my arms staring up at me with love in his eyes, a beautiful radiating smile on his innnocnce scarred face and the deathly stench of a heavily soiled nappy strangles my senses. Better go clean and will return to this blogging caper soon.
